I had a surprisingly nice weekend. My Aunt Kath and cousins whisked me away to the coast and we spent the night at the beach, and swam in the ocean all day Saturday. I grew up on the beaches of California, but had never swan in the ocean! I've always been too afraid of sharks. I couldn't believe how much fun it was. Saturday night we went to a hotel and ate awesome food and just relaxed. I am so sunburnt after the beach though -- I didn't realize my sun block wasn't water proof. Argh. I am really dying.

Sunday I came home to a wreck of an apartment -- Perry had moved a bunch of stuff out, and took the Xbox 360 and the internet cables, his computer, and a bunch of his books. I now have no way to get online, watch dvds, or play video games (oh, woe is me, right?). On pay day I'm going to buy a $20 DVD player at Best Buy. The worst thing though is that we watched Netflix through the Xbox and I've been obsessively watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Now I can't! Actually, now all I can do is watch one of the four channels that come in. And that is boring. Apparently I can hook up my computer to the tv somehow and watch netflix there. I hooked up Aunt Kath's old computer she gave us a while ago, and I have to go buy a new ethernet cable. Gah.

Huh. I didn't know this apartment could be so quiet. It's so weird, only 8 days ago it held friends and family and laughter and ideas and plans. Now it holds me and three cats that  can't stop fighting.

I really miss Perry and Dylan.

Well, I bahleted my blogger account for seveal reasons, so now I am posting my blogs here.

I have never felt so awful in my entire life. I've lost my husband, I've lost my best friend, and I've never felt so alone. I've been so miserable this last week that I've desperately signed up for a dating site. I started talking to some guy. I realized how incredibly stupid that was, and how bad I felt, and gross, and I am nowhere near ready to begin even contemplating that. I don't know how I'm going to get through tonight, tomorrow, this week, this month, this year, this life.

In order to postpone bedtime, which will lead me to another sob fest due to the fact that I am alone, this house is empty, and the only thing I have to cling for dear life to is a $5 pillow my cat took a dump on.

Lots of pillows or just one?
I prefer two, but now I just have my trusty old Charlie Brown pillow. I just put my nasty cheap (afforementioned) pillow on my bed.

What kind of books do you read?

God, I read so much. I've always loved vampire novels, and I'm currently reading 'salem's Lot by Steven King. I love fairy tales too, and I love some fantasy books (like Harry Potter and the Abhorsen Trilogy). I also enjoy memoirs, and lately have been consuming midwife and pregnancy books at an alarming rate. I hate mysteries.

What's the weirdest thing you've seen today?

The weirdest thing I HEARD today was my new coworker Tom telling me about his exwives and and one's cocaine habit.

What is the best lesson you've ever learned?

Haha. I've learned a lot of lessons lately. One is that I really shouldn't drink, ever. Another is that a man and a woman can never be friends. Or at least I can't. Another is that marriage is so much harder than I could have ever comprehended.

What's really creepy?

There's a giant goldfish at work who's eye is ripped out and hanging off. It freaks me out.

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?

Always tattoos. I love looking at people's tattoos, hearing their stories, and planning my future ones. I have five currently, and I'd be completely covered if I had the money. I'm also obsessed with midwifery books and pregnancy books -- the latest I've read was a book on breastfeeding, and one on miscarriages. Both so interesting.

What's bothering you in your life lately?

I'm not even going to go into this. What is not bothering me lately? Maybe my weight, because I've been too upset to eat. But no, even that is still bothering me, although suddenly it doesn't seem so important anymore...

What websites do you always visit when you go online?

In order: Gmail, facebook, livejournal, and then sometimes myspace.

What was the last thing you bought?

Um, probably cigarettes.

What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear just happened. Well, one of them did. The other is zombies. And my mom dying.

What is your favorite non-physical feature about yourself?

I like that I'm sort of...quirky sounds stupid, but I can't think of another word. I like that I seem to run on a slightly different frequency than everyone else. I don't relate to other people my age, particularly girls. I like my differences.

What do you do to change your mood?

Read a book, play Fallout 3, take a bath, cuddle with the cats, go outside and smoke a cigarette.

What was the last meal you ate?

I had a boca sandwhich. I was so excited to find some in the freezer. I've been eating either peanut butter on a graham cracker, or just smoking myself silly for dinner. Occasionally I'll buy a cheap sandwhich at the gas station with my cigarettes,

Do you want to learn another language?

Yes, I'd love to learn Welsh. I attempted it a few years ago but it petered out after not too long.

Five things you can't live without.

Books, milk, captions on the tv, my family, my  cats.

What's the "weirdest" music you listen to?

Um, some might say my pre-2000 Green Day love is unfounded, but I tell them to shut it.

What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?

I'm sorry. That's all it boils down to.

What are you looking forward to?

...tax return, I guess. I can't think of anything else to look forward to.

Well, the move was pretty crazy. We're all moved now and now we "just" need to unpack, which I suspect will take weeks. The apartment is really cute, nice and big (well, big compared to where we were) and much cheaper. Katy and I painted Perry's "office" (aka the dining room) turquoise, and he bought a new desk which he and his dad are putting together. I also bought a new tv stand, which Dylan and Perry put together, with a little help from Katy and none from me. :D We got out new washer and dryer delivered and it's SO nice to do big loads of laundry right in the house; I've probably done ten loads in the last two days. I even put them away! Put we're tripping over boxes everywhere -- we have at least 25 -- and bags of clothes and misc. stuff. Perry keeps EVERYTHING. While packing I found things I'd never even seen before -- random hats and artifacts from Russia, old boyscout medals, even plado figurines he made when he was a kid. That man saves EVERYTHING.

E. V. E. R. Y. T. H. I. N. G.

You have no idea how annoying it is to have every nook and cranny full of old moldy boxes, bags, shoe boxes, you name it, full of things he has not looked at in over a decade but refuses to get rid of. I SWEAR I will make him put it all in storage this time. I am not having our lovely new apartment full of random crap. I know a lot of it means something to him, like the piece of the Berlin wall, and the one and only trophy he EVER won, which was for perfect attendance in first grade, but seriously, a giant UT flag his dad gave him when he was 5? Perry never went to UT. No reason to keep it. The plado dinosaur figures? When will he EVER NEED THOSE? The ugly, horrible framed tiger print that will never grace our walls? The empty Russian vodka bottles? The old science magazines from 15 years ago? The Star Treck action figures that have been sitting in a box since he was 15? COME. ON.

But, today is our "6 monthiversary," and we're going out to the resturaunt we went to on our first date. Can't wait!

Moving day is going horribly. Katy bailed on me because she's too PMSy, Perry's still asleep, I have no idea if the movers are even coming today and I'm not even finished packing. GOD. DAMN.

At work bright and early this morning. Perry and Dylan and I went to Barnes and Noble last night. I found a really great book called Narcisism and Intimacy in Marriage. I think it'll be really beneficial to read. I also wanted to buy Kathy Griffin's book but ALAS too much moneys already spent on dinner and coffee (and Perry bought season two of Batman the Animated Series).

Perry and I had a talk the other night and I think we made a little headway. I've got a call into a couple counslers for me, but I'd still really like to see one together.

And we're moving in two days and not packed at all.

Oh, and my aunt said I need to pick ROxy up ASAP. Which is insane because I have no one to take her and there's no way we could. So tomorrow I'm going to have to take her to a shelter. Which makes me so, so sad because we've had Roxy for 8 years, since she was a little puppy. :(

Two conversations I had on omegle.

Signed the lease today. Getting keys a day early to have a painting party with Katy. Today I scheduled the electricity to be transfered, along with internet, and set up renter's insurance, Perry's car insurance, and now I'm off to the bank and grocery store to make homemade chicken pot pie.

I'd say it was a productive day.
